IPL 2024 - It's the first Doubleheaders!

The first doubleheader of Tata IPL 2024 is underway today. This is enough for cricket fans to sort out the day and spend the weekend right. The first encounter will be an engaging fight between PBKS and DC, followed by SRH taking on KKR. While Punjab Kings face Delhi Capitals in the newly constructed stadium in Mullanpur, KKR and SRH battle it in the iconic Eden Gardens. To catch all the action from the doubleheaders, Watch Tata IPL 2024 LIVE on YuppTV.

Punjab had a disappointing IPL last year and wants to change their fortunes this edition. The Punjab Kings management still believed in Shikhar Dhawan and again charged him with leadership responsibilities. Jonny Bairstow, who missed the previous edition due to an injury, is back on the side that has significantly strengthened Punjab's batting department. The left and right-hand opening pair of Shikhar Dhawan and Jonny Bairstow are a delight for cricket fans. Shikhar no longer plays international cricket and is seen only in the IPL. Despite continuous cricket, Jonny Bairstow made himself available for the IPL 2024. Atharva Taide, Rilee Rossouw, Ashutosh Sharma, and Sikandar Raza with the bat seem promising. With Arshdeep Singh, Harshal Patel, Sam Curran, Kagiso Rabada and Liam Livingston, the pace bowling unit will destroy the opponent's batting order. The combination of the right and left hand in the bowling looks solid and appears destructive. With plenty of all-rounders on the side, the entire lineup looks exciting.

Rishabh Pant is back on the Delhi side after the horrific accident. The southpaw worked extraordinarily hard on his fitness and made himself available to the occasion. With David Warner, Prithvi Shaw, Yash Dhull, and Rishab Pant, the batting orders have a perfect mix of young and experienced players. Anrich Nortije, Ishant Sharma, Mukesh, Kuldeep, Jhye Richardson, and Axar Patel's bowling can be challenging for any batting lineup. Mitchell Marsh's all-round abilities will bring a perfect balance to the squad. Both DC and Punjab have yet to win a title and will aim for this season's title.

The day's second match is an engaging clash between KKR and SRH in Kolkata's Eden Garden. The Eden Garden's pitch is well known for being unpredictable and offers exhilarating outcomes. Shreyas Iyer-led KKR is a two-time champion and one of the most popular sides in the IPL. With Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Manish Pandey, Rinku Singh, Venkatesh Iyer, Andre Russel, and Sunil Naraine, the batting explosives will fire up the stadium. Rinku Singh has been a potential discovery for KKR, who plays the perfect role of a finisher. His five sixes in a row against GT to guide KKR to a stunning victory is still fresh in people's memory. KKR signed Mitchell Starc for a whopping price and hopes heavily on the Aussie pacer. Skahib Hassan, Chetan Sakariya, Dushmantha Chameera, Suyash Sharma, and Varun Chakravarthy will share the bowling responsibilities.

Having had a most unpleasant IPL last year, SRH is rejuvenated with a new skipper, Pat Cummins, at the helm. Sunrisers Hyderabad spent a mammoth amount to pick Pat Cummins and wants the World Cup-winning captain to redeem themselves from the humiliation. Travis Head, another World Cup sensation, Aiden Markram, Abhishek Sharma, Abdul Samad, and Rahul Tripathi add weight to the order. SRH always had powerful bowling with Bhuvneshwar, Umran Mallik, Natarajan, and Pat Cummins. The addition will take it to another level. Washington Sundar, Glenn Phillips, Marco Jansen, and Wanindu Hasaranga will come in handy with both the ball and bat.
